Hello fellow designers,
I’m diving deeper into UI/UX design and focusing on visual hierarchy—how to guide users’ attention naturally through a layout while keeping interfaces intuitive. Visual hierarchy is critical in helping users understand what’s most important, but it’s sometimes subtle and challenging to implement effectively.
I’d like to discuss:
Techniques you use to establish hierarchy with color, typography, spacing, and element size.
How do you test whether your hierarchy decisions actually improve usability, engagement, or conversion?
Are there subtle tricks you employ to balance aesthetic appeal with functional clarity, especially in complex dashboards or interactive interfaces?
I’d love to see examples from your own projects or resources you’ve found useful for teaching hierarchy in design. Additionally, any insights into how hierarchy principles evolve between desktop and mobile layouts would be extremely helpful.
