WordPress media library images loading slowly in admin panel

Hi everyone,

I noticed something strange with my WordPress site recently and I’m not sure what the cause could be. When I open the media library in the WordPress admin panel, all the thumbnails take a very long time to load. Sometimes it takes 10–15 seconds before the images appear.

The website itself seems to load normally for visitors, so the problem only seems to be happening inside the dashboard. I didn’t change my hosting recently, but I did install two plugins last week (a gallery plugin and a caching plugin).

Could a plugin cause the media library to slow down like this? Or could it be related to the number of images stored in the library? I currently have around 2,000 images uploaded.

Has anyone experienced something similar or found a way to fix it?
